Adding Email On Your Phone, Company Or Personal eMail.
Do you have one, or ten personal email accounts or even your personal and Corporate Email Account. Did you know the iPhone can handle all your personal email accounts and corporate/firm email right on the device and the device most firms/corporations love having because of the amount of security built in unlike Phones running Android. Now With The Android for certain FIRMS Or CORPORATIONs will Run IE: Good For Enterprise Or Another Android APP. However for iPhone users, simply download an APP Like Mobile Iron or another APP that's been cleared with your FIRM Or CORPORATION And you'll be able to rec. work email on your iPhone. However if your job doesn't require it then follow our steps for adding email to your iPhone device. Which is a very simply process and can be done two different ways. Firstly you'll notice right on your phone theres a Mail APP and when you click on it if you haven't added email to your iPhone you'll have all available options such as: iCloud, Microsoft Exchange (Work Email), Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, And Other. The Other option should only be used for Advanced users and shouldn't be used when adding the other emails. The Other Option has The LDAP, CardDAV, CalDAV, And Subscribed Calendar Option.
Adding your iCloud email all you'll need for this is your Apple ID: Which is your email you've used for setting up your iTunes account, and your password. If you don't have an Apple ID you can click on that link and it'll prompt you for a creation and walk you through all the steps for creating your very own unique Apple ID. Adding Microsoft Exchange Email you'll need your email, Password And Description. Then it'll verify the next screen you'll need your Exchange Server which will be given to you by your System Administrator Then your Domain and your username and password will be already inputted. However This setup is usually done by IT Professionals at your Company. But if your doing it yourself your Administrator will give you all the information needed. It's simple and all you need is the Server / Domain name. Adding Your Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Or Hotmail Emails you'll need your Name / email / Password / And you can put a description. This will allow you to add your Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Or Hotmail email accounts on your iPhone.
Now if your looking to add additional Accounts or additional emails on to your iPhone you can do the following. Go To Utilities>Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account And proceed to add the account of your Desire. Now while your in there you can actually change some Settings for your mail. You'll see the first option for "retrieving" or "fetching" as it's called on the iPhone. For The Fetch New Data Option we would leave it for "push" this will allow for a much better battery lifespan and won't Drain your Phone. Leave in the Mail Section the Show: 50 Messages Preview: 3 Lines Show To/CC Label: Off Ask Before Deleting: On Load Remote Images: On Organize By Thread: On Always BCC Myself: Off Increase Quote Level: On Signature: (This is where you can create your own personal Signatures) Default Account: Will be the account you first set up for email on your iPhone.
Contacts can also be edited as well, the default settings are as follows. Sort Order: Last,First Display Order: First, Last And My info: NONE Which you can change to what you want it show. The Calendars Section inside your Mail, Contacts, Calendars Will be where you can change your Calendar Settings. This is where a lot of Corporate Or Firm Email tend to get out of Synch. For Most People they'll have the Option: On This iPhone Or The Name Of The JOB Or Work. Also Shared Calendar Alerts Will be defaulted to On. However please place close attention. If your Calendars For Work, Or Contacts Are Not Synching. You'll need to go to where it says "Default Calendars" and make sure it's showing the name of your company or is defaulted to job and not clicked or checked on "on this iPhone". If this option is checked it won't allow for your work Calendar Entries or iPhone Calendar Entries to synch up with the exchange server and will cause issues between the two. However the issue is easily remedied by simply clicking on Work or Switching from Work To On The iPhone and then back to work and give it five minutes to start Synching. Though your System Administrator / Administrators will be able to walk you through any problems and or synch issues.
If your using apps such as Mobile Iron then you'll need to click on the Mobile Iron app and see if your device is showing "non compliant" or giving you an error. Any problem and or error should be reported to your System Admin or Local Help Desk. However, a lot of Mobile Iron issues can stem from Poor Network Connection > Violating APPs (This is where an app you've downloaded is not white listed and isn't allowed on your iPhone with FIRM or Corporate Email On It) > Password Has Expired > iOS Hasn't been updated. But all problems can be remedied by calling your System Administrator or Administrators and they'll be able to walk you through any issues. Always make sure to report any and all problems but never attempt to uninstall / reinstall because this will double your account or cause a non compliance issue with your iPhone having FIRM / Corporate Email on it. Always check to see if you have Network Connectivity or WiFi before reporting problems with your FIRM / Corporate Email. As well the same goes for Personal email as well. Make sure your WiFi is connected or you have 3G / 4G Data Connectivity and or you have a DATA PLAN For your device. Verizon Customers Are Recommended to Have 2GB or Higher. Sprint Customers Are Asked to Have Unlimited Plan, TMOBILE To Have The Unlimited Plan, Etc. Always have 2GB Or higher and if your dealing A Non Unlimited Account Make Sure You have the highest GB Plan if your going to have FIRM / CORPORATE Email on your Device.
